Award-Winning Spring Park Home Remodeler
Spring Park was one of several small communities that formed along Lake Minnetonka around 1850, first for its access to timber and later, after the Civil War, as a hospitality destination. James J. Hill’s Great Northern Railroad reached Spring Park around 1882, and the city’s Hotel Del Otero welcomed guests from 1892 until it burned down in 1945. Today Spring Park is one of the smallest and most compact cities on the lake, just 225 acres with around 300 households, but two of its largest borders sit directly on Lake Minnetonka along Spring Park Bay, the West Arm, and Black Lake. The city’s housing mix includes single-family homes, townhomes, and several apartment buildings, more density than most of its lake neighbors. Boyer Building Corporation is a Spring Park remodeler experienced with this compact, water-oriented housing stock, including townhome renovations.
Spring Park Home Remodeling Experts
Spring Park’s small footprint and mix of single-family homes, townhomes, and apartment buildings make it a different kind of remodeling market than its larger lake neighbors. A remodeler who works in Spring Park regularly learns how association rules apply to townhome and multi-unit renovations, how lot size and setbacks work on the city’s smaller parcels, and where lake access shapes a project even on non-waterfront homes given how much of the city borders the water. That familiarity keeps Spring Park projects, from a single-family remodel to a townhome lower-level renovation, moving smoothly from design through completion.

Boyer Building Corporation Remodeling Services
Spring Park’s compact lots and mix of single-family homes and townhomes call for space-efficient remodeling solutions.
Kitchen Remodeling – Spring Park kitchens, whether in a single-family home or a townhome, are often working with a smaller footprint than lots elsewhere on the lake. We focus on layout efficiency and smart storage alongside the finish upgrades every dated kitchen needs.
Bathroom Remodeling – Bathrooms in the area’s older homes and townhomes tend to be modest in size. We rebuild these into well-finished spaces that make the most of limited square footage.
Decks, Porches, and Three-Season Spaces – With Spring Park Bay, the West Arm, and Black Lake bordering so much of the city, outdoor space is at a premium. We design decks and patios that maximize compact yards and take advantage of nearby water views.
Great Rooms and Main-Level Renovations – Opening a closed-off kitchen or living room into a more usable great room is a common project for area homes, particularly in the city’s older single-family homes.
Lower Level Finishing – Lower-level finishing is one of the highest-value projects available in Spring Park’s compact homes and townhomes, adding genuine living space without expanding the home’s footprint.
Exterior Renovation – Exterior remodels are where homes can change identity completely. We coordinate siding, windows, doors, roofing, and trim as one design decision rather than a series of separate projects. The result is an exterior that is truly cohesive.
Home Office – A spare bedroom or underused space in a Spring Park home or townhome is a practical candidate for conversion into a home office.
Bedroom and Primary Suite – Primary suites in smaller homes and townhomes benefit most from efficient reconfiguration: a better closet, a rebuilt bath, and finishes that make the existing footprint feel larger.
Specialties – We work with homeowners to reimagine their home with tasteful entrances, stairways, mudrooms, and game rooms. We not only add to their homes’ beauty but also to their utility with thoughtful design and construction.

Remodeling FAQs
All new construction and remodeling work comes with a written warranty that meets or exceeds Minnesota statutory requirements: one year on workmanship and materials, two years on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and ten years on major structural elements. Beyond the warranty, our team responds to questions and small follow-up items for years after a project closes — that’s part of how referrals get earned.
Recent recognition includes 2025 NARI-MN Remodeler of the Year Gold and Silver awards, the 2025 Housing First ROMA awards, Lake Minnetonka Magazine’s 2024 and 2025 “Best Of” recognition in both the Remodeler and Builder categories, and multiple NARI-MN Contractor of the Year wins going back through 2023. Awards aren’t the reason to hire a builder, but they’re a useful signal that the work meets a professional standard reviewed by peers.
Yes. Boyer Building is a licensed and insured Spring Park remodeler and builder, and is familiar with Spring Park’s permitting requirements and inspection process.
Most projects move through five stages: an initial consultation to understand your goals and constraints; a design and budget development phase where the project takes shape on paper; a detailed proposal and contract; construction with a dedicated project manager and lead carpenter; and a final walkthrough plus warranty service. You work with the same core team from start to finish.
The simplest first step is to call our office at 952-475-2097 or send a message through the contact form. We’ll set up an introductory conversation, ask about your home and what you’re hoping to accomplish, and walk through next steps from there.
Yes. Boyer manages the permitting and inspection process with the Spring Park building department as part of every project scope.
The first conversation — in your home or at our office — is at no cost. Once we move into detailed design work, there’s a design fee that’s clearly outlined upfront. That fee covers the time of our designers and is credited against the project if you move forward into construction.
Not necessarily. Boyer is a design-build firm, which means our in-house design team can take a project from initial concept through construction documents. For projects with unusual structural complexity or historic considerations, we’ll bring in an outside architect when it serves the project. Either way, you have one team accountable for the result.
Yes. We’re glad to share our project portfolio for every community that we serve. Our blog and the project gallery on this site page include completed work throughout the Twin Cities Western Suburbs.
