When we purchased our home on Lake Minnetonka, we realized we needed to do extensive work on the property to make it suitable for 365 days a year living for our family. Boyer was the original builder of the house, and we were quite impressed with the build quality of the home. It made perfect sense for Boyer to do the remodel since they knew the home so well to begin with and we knew the quality would be at a high level.
Boyer assembled a great team of not only Boyer craftsmen, but also quality-driven subcontractors. We were an active part of the process in approving the subcontractors and reviewing the schedule, and Boyer did an excellent job of keeping the communication lines open and frequent during the process. Boyer’s on-site master carpenter served as the project leader at the house, and another Boyer employee managed the entire project including purchasing, subcontractor scheduling, change orders, decision meetings, etc. This was a great process for this project, and we always felt in the loop and that decisions were made in a timely and effective manner. Our working relationship with Boyer and the subcontractors was great. While our original schedule was probably a bit overly optimistic, the project was completed later than expected due to supply issues related with the pandemic as well as the inevitable delays that can happen with a project of this magnitude and complexity. We’re very happy with the outcome and the quality of work. Boyer’s diligence, communication, and the quality of the people involved all made this large project a success.
