One of Tom’s favorite projects and why: “Desirable in Deephaven” (Custom New Build)
This traditional, custom-built home in Deephaven offers the functionality of a large, two-story residence without sacrificing coziness. It features a spacious great room, a sun-filled porch off the dining room, and an open-layout kitchen with ample space. Cozy touches include a breakfast nook, an enclosed pantry, and a coffee bar area. The blue mudroom allows groceries to be carried right in from the garage to the pantry. The comfortable dark home office off the great room is separated from the home for privacy and getting work done. Upstairs has bedrooms, a master suite and bonus room over the garage that keeps the kids busy while their rooms stay clean.
Tom Henjum recalled, “We so enjoyed building this lovely home in the heart of Deephaven for a young family. They wanted a traditional tow-story home with room for entertaining and for their busy family lives. I especially love the integrated great room off the spectacular kitchen, complete with a hid-away pantry that houses organized pantry items, a second refrigerator, and a coffee bar. The beautiful, sun-filled porch allows all the great sunlight to spill into the dining and great room, creating an inviting space for gatherings. And one more favorite space of mine was the professional office positioned near the front of the house, featuring a French door that leads out to the front of the house – perfect for taking a call while enjoying the view of the beautiful front yard.”
